happy birthday mom!
| [Ken 05/26/2019] Not many get the chance to celebrate their 90th birthday. We were fortunate that she decided to celebrate while Deb and I were passing through town. Everybody on our side of the family was there, but it was mom's time with her great-granddaughter, Ellie, that made it so special for her. Ellie was appreciated so much when mom "needed" someone to help read all her birthday cards! Even in "Ellie-English" all of the birthday wishes were wonderful! |  |
| It was Memorial Day weekend 2019. We wanted to take mom to Fort Logan to visit dad. The cemetery was groomed and every headstone had a small American flag placed next to it. Dad would have been 93 years old next month -- had it not been for all of the french fries. As he would say, "It was a lesson learned too late."  | a visit to see dad |
on bunny patrol
 [Ken 05/26/2019] While in Denver, we assigned Gadget the responsibility to keep mom's yard clear of bunnies. She took her job very serious, patrolling all of the bunny nooks every time she was let out. All the fun ended when she found a determined bunny trapped in the window-well, however. The stare-down lasted until death (of the bunny). |  |
